How to Care for Your Skin the Way Nature Intended

Do you want smooth, blemish-free skin? Everyone does, right? But if you are interested in adopting a natural skin care routine with products that actually work, it can be harder than you think. For starters, store-bought skin care products typically contain toxic ingredients and chemical fragrances. So it’s no surprise that more and more people are turning to natural ingredients to keep their skin looking great.

But ditching the drug and department store counter can be daunting. How do you find natural solutions or ingredients that really work? Consider the following your cheat sheet.

Dry skin? Try Coconut Oil
Coconut oil is a go-to for treating dry skin. It has a good amount of fatty acids that make up for any loss of moisture from the skin. Apply coconut oil on your dry skin after you take a bath or shower. When the skin is warm and supple from your bath, coconut oil is more readily absorbed.

Dullness? Try Cleansing With Lemon

Lemons are naturally rich in vitamin C, the antioxidant that prevents premature aging. Lemons also possess innate skin whitening properties. Wash your face with lemon juice to reap its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory benefits. The peels can also be rubbed on your neck and face to eliminate dark spots too.

Fine lines? Try Eggs

Egg whites work wonders for those fine lines under the eyes. By treating them with egg whites, the aging process is actually slowed down and the skin is nourished with the required nutrients needed by the body (while keeping the skin soft too). Egg whites can help tighten the under eye skin and help prevent eye bags and wrinkles. Stiffly beat a few egg whites and apply it around your eyes with a brush. Leave it on for 10 minutes and rinse your face with lukewarm water.

Blemishes? Try Black Drawing Salve

Black Drawing Salve is an ointment with eleven herbs suspended in olive oil, bees wax, vitamin E oil, and pine tar. While this remedy addresses a number of skin-related issues, it’s the inclusion of Myrrh gum that makes it so potent in fighting acne. Myrrh gum is a stimulant, tonic, and astringent that increases circulation and has been used for ulcers, acne, bruises, swelling, athlete’s foot, bed sores, arthritic pain, infection, inflammation and poison ivy.

To treat acne, simply put a dab of black drawing salve on your fingers and rub over the affected area, once or twice a day. Symptoms should clear up in two to three weeks.

Notes from Fout Winds Nutrition
In order to have clear, healthy skin, you need to make sure your body is relatively free of toxins, so cleansing your body of dangerous substances while putting in the finest nutrients is essential.

The organs responsible for providing you with beautiful skin include your liver, kidneys, adrenals, thyroid, and your large and small intestines. A body Systems Evaluation is highly recommended!
