Urinary Tract Infection
See also: Urinary Issues

Infections of the tissues in the urinary tract usually involve bacteria such as E. coli but may include fungal infections such as Candida albicans. There may be a sensation of warmth in the small of the back. Recurrent urinary tract infections can scar the lining of the bladder and become a serious health risk.

Cranberry & Buchu

Cranberry & Buchu

Intended for urinary tract infections.
Cranberry contains a substance that reduces the ability of bacteria to cling to the lining of the urinary tract. This may reduce the tendency to develop urinary tract infections.
Cranberry also controls the odor of urine from incontinent individuals. It retards the degradation of urine by Escherichia coli bacteria to produce ammonia odors.
Buchu is one of the most nourishing herbs for the urinary tract and is slightly diuretic. It also has tonic, astringent and antiseptic properties that may contribute to reducing urinary tract infections and inflammation.
As an aromatic herb it helps to improve digestion. Buchu has also been used for the prostate and pancreas; it may be useful for early stages of diabetes.
Contains cranberry juice concentrate, buchu concentrate reduced to powder before capsulation.

This product is recommended for daily use to maintain a healthy balance of friendly bacteria in the intestinal tract, to enhance the production of vitamins by the microbes and to support the immune system.
This is a great daily probiotic for adults and children of all ages, particularly females because it protects against unwanted invaders that cause health concerns, especially in the urinogenital tract.
