By Steven Horne, RH (AHG) & Kimberly Balas, ND

See also Fungal Infections

Athlete's foot is a infection of the foot most often between the toes and on the soles of the feet. Symptoms include pain, burning and itching. Antifungal remedies that may be applied topically for athlete's foot include garlic Oil, Pau d'Arco Lotion and Paw Paw Cell Reg (empty the capsules and mix with Golden Salve).

Silver Shield Gel is also beneficial, when mixed with antifungal essential oils such as tea tree oil, Oregano and lavender. When there is a topical fungal infection like this, it is wise to treat for yeast internally as well.
