A little known factor that contributes significantly to this
problem is the chlorination of water supplies. Chlorine
is a free radical that turns high-density lipoproteins into
low-density lipoproteins. Put into layman's terms, chlorine
makes cholesterol gummy so that it sticks to the lining of
the arteries. Purifying both your drinking water, and the
water in which you abthe or shower, can help to prevent
this condition.
