It was almost fifty years ago when the medical establishment chose to use the hormone estrogen in post menopausal women for the purpose of enhancing bone growth. Estrogen has been used with little real success. Women who have been on estrogen replacement therapy have been twice as likely to suffer from broken bones as a result of a fall as women who were not taking estrogen. It was then realized that women need progestrone as well as estrogen. In 1986, it became a malpractice violation not to give women who were taking estrogen some progesterone as well.
Bone is a living substance which is always changing. Cells known as osteoclast cells work in the body to remove old brittle and crystallized calcium from the bone. Then osteoblast cells act to replace calcium in the bone in those spaces where the osteoclast cells have removed the old calcium. Medical researchers mistook the effect of the estrogen upon the bone which caused the osteoclast to stop removing the old calcium when they noted that an x-ray of the bone showed a denser bone than those individual who did not have estrogen therapy. The bone was obviously denser,'but not stronger because the x-rays showed a bone with more crystallized calcium buildup. The estrogen caused the upgrading of the bone to be slowed and did not provide for the normal activity of the osteoclast cell.
Progesterone stimulates the activity of the osteoclast cells and provides the normal activity of the cells as they remove brittle and crystallized calcium from the bone. Osteoporosis is reversible with the use of progesterone. Now, by applying transdermally a progesterone cream, the results can be astounding.
One of the best sources of a natural progesterone forming substance is from wild yam, as natural progesterone is the natural defense of the plant against insects. If attacked by an insect who cats at the wild yam plant, the natural hormone in the plant causes a hormonal imbalance in the insect and the insect soon begins to wander away to another plant which does not cause such an imbalance.
Applying Wild Yam Cream to the abdomen and medial areas of the arms has had a positive effect upon women as the progesterone is then introduced into the body transdermally. As in the estrogen patch, the transdermal introduction of progesterone Is more efficient. A very positive side effect is the regression of PMS symptoms for many women.
How to use NuCel Wild Yam Cream
Apply to areas where there is some fat under the skin, such as the inner thighs, inner arms, chest, abdomen, etc. Alternate the application sites to improve your results. In other words, don't apply to the same location each time you use the cream but vary from application to application where you rub it. Apply 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon once or twice daily.
For women no longer experiencing a menstrual cycle, the cream should be applied on calendar days 1 through 25. Discontinue use for the rest of the month and then resume application on the Ist of the next month. This creates a cycle similiar to what the body has experienced for years but without actually menstruating.
