PURPLE LOOSESTRIFE

Historical Uses:
Purple Loosestrife can be found near ponds, lakes, rivers and other humid areas. Traditional medicine has used it to treat dysentery, internal hemorrhages, nose bleeds and stomach pains.¹ Externally, it has been used as a douche to treat vaginitis.¹ It is said to have a tonic effect on the bowels, colon, gall bladder, liver and kidneys.² It has been used as an eye-wash to improve vision and relieve certain eye affections.²

None.

Adverse reactions:
None.

Dosage:
40 drops three times per day. Externally (douche): 20 to 40 drops in ½ cup of water. Externally (eye-wash): wash eyes with 20 drops in ½ cup of distilled water for 5 minutes two to three times per day.
