Basil is most commonly known as a condiment or cooking or table
flavoring for adding a little interest to the taste buds with
its mild warming and cooling an dspicy qualities.
As an herb, Basil is most closely associated with alleviating
stomach complaints, such as cramping, by increasing the
flow of gastric juices to prevent food from forming gas in the
stomach and to calm the nervous system.
For nursing mothers, use of Basil can increase the flow
of milk to satisfy baby's needs.
Dosage: 40-80 drops before meals or three times daily.
For nursing mothers, Basil can be applied directly to the breasts
as needed
