FOLIC ACID PLUS
[1585-8] (90)
Prevent birth defects.
Folic acid is essential to human health. It is required for the duplication
of DNA during the process of building new tissue. Having a baby is an obvious
case of "building new tissue".
Because deficiencies of folic acid frequently causes growth defects, especially
of the brain and spinal cord, all women in their childbearing years should
take 400 mcg of folic acid daily.
This amount should be doubled to 800 mcg. during pregnancy.
Of course, more nutrients than just folic acid are required for a healthy
pregnancy.
Bee Pollen is a rich source of an extremely broad spectrum of nutrients.
It provides vitamins, common minerals, trace minerals and the 8 amino acids
that the body cannot manufacture for itself. Bee Pollen increases energy
and vitality of the entire body including the reproductive system.
Vitamin C is also required for the manufacture of collagen used by the body
in connective tissue and for the absorption of iron needed for oxygen-carrying
red blood cells.
