CARPET SHAMPOOS
Carpet shampoo contains respiratory irritants. Outbreaks of flu-like symptoms have been reported after carpet cleaning in schools, motels, offices, and day care centers. (Hunter,7). Young children who crawl on the floor are especially susceptible to any chemicals left behind.
Carpet Freshner
1/3 cup baking soda
3 drops peppermint essential oil
7 drops thyme linalol essential oil
8 drops lemon essential oil
2 drops pine
Combine essential oils with baking soda in a glass container. I like to use a sugar shaker.
Sprinkle onto carpet, wait 15 minutes, and then vacuum.
The essential oils will disinfect and deodorize your carpets.
